People's climate march Montreal

We joined thousands of people in Montreal, and many hundreds of thousands around the world, in the People's Climate march on Sunday 21st September. Despite the rain and threat of thunderstorms, many people turned out to demonstrate that they care about our planet and are looking to our governments and leaders to make some significant decisions at the UN Climate summit this week in NYC and in the elad up to the larger summit in Paris in 2015.

It was the first protest march for our kids and they enjoyed it. Even baby walnut was there (in utero)!

Making jam

I have embarked on the new adventure of making jam recently, and it isn't as hard as I expected. My first attempt a couple of months ago with our freshly picked strawberries and rhubarb was a success, so I've tried my hand a a couple of others now too. Just in time for the amazing peaches and figs that are so cheap at the moment!
Here is my fig adn cinnamon jam, and peach ad vanilla bean jam.

Sorry you can't taste them through the computer - both very yummy and easy.
