Dashing through the snow...

in a one-horse open sleigh

Its snowing!

The first real snow of the season.

It snowed all day (about 3 inches), so we stayed in and made cookies celebrating Canadian animals. And Claude's awesome dinosaur cookies too! (thanks Elle)

Stef's birthday

The last in our cluster of birthdays, I had a lovely dinner (cooked by someone else) and a cake decorated by the kids. I'm very thankful for another year with this lot!

Halloween costumes

My goodness Halloween is a big deal here. Our kids dressed up for a party but we avoided the ridiculous amount of candy (read lollies) from going door to door.

Lanterns at the gardens

After the pumpkins, we stayed for the lanterns display in the chinese gardens. Just beautiful.

Pumpkin exhibition at Botanic Gardens

We had a great afternoon seeing the decorated pumpkins at the Botanic Gardens. Some of the creations were really beautiful. A one enormous pumpkin, weighing nearly 700kg!

Greg's birthday dinner

We had a lovely dinner to celebrate Greg's birthday before he heads off to Europe for a conference. The berry pie dessert was a big hit with everyone.

Meeting my family

We are so grateful to have had all the grandparents visiting in succession. It has made the transition to 3 kids much easier for us, and way more fun for the older siblings.
Caspian is a delight to our family.
